Introduction

The Ministry of Youth and Sports was established on the 6th of November 1996 and has been actively involved in governing youth and sports activities and functinos throughout the nation.

Our Vision

To acquire utmost involvement of Maldivian youth in the development of the country while providing opportunities for their own advancement and enabling them to enjoy sports in order to invoke good spirited, dynamic and healthy young individuals.

Our Mission

To ensure the Maldivian youth embrace Islam, maintain social norms and principles, show and support national identity and unity and particiapte in national development. They are ascertained to be well grounded in sound discipline and healthy habits, participating and competing in sports activities both nationally and internationally with gender equality
